Renewal CHL Class
Renewal CHL Class fee is $75.00 plus a $10.00 Range Fee if you are not a member of Midland Shooters Association, plus your on-line application State Fee.
A Concealed Handgun Class includes: a minimum of 4 hours curriculum relating to the carrying of a Concealed Handgun in the State of Texas; Class room booklet, Shooting Proficiency Test; Current Laws, and CHL-100 Completion form to send to the State.
You do not have to get your fingerprints or photos taken as of May 1, 2010 unless indicated by your state application.

Go to http://www.txdps.state.tx.us and click on Concealed Handgun License. Click on Concealed Handgun Statutes & Related Weapons Laws and download and save the current laws as of September 1, 2009 (clean version) (PDF) for your records.
Click on Apply for a Renewal Concealed Handgun License or Instructor Certificate and follow the instructions to apply.
The handgun for this class must be at least a .32 caliber semi-auto or at least a .38 caliber revolver. The test requires 50 rounds of ammunition, but I recommend that you bring 100 rounds in case of a malfunction or if you need to reshoot the test for any reason. No reloaded ammuntion.
Drinks and snacks are welcome in class.
